December 23, 2007 - Peter-Anthony Hereu

As soon as 10-year old Peter-Anthony Hereu heard about the Dec 4 Everett Tanker explosion that left 47 people homeless,2014 winter classic jerseys he knew he had to do something. Peter wrote a letter to his principal for permission to collects toys from his classmates for the families in need.
As toy boxes filled with donations, Peter's efforts expanded to collect donations at local businesses. Amazingly, this 5th grader's efforts have resulted in the donation of hundreds of toys and over $1,000!

December 21, 2007 - Derrick Dottin

On December 6, Somerville police Officer Derrick Dottin and his partner responded to a 911 call.cheap nhl jerseys Derrick arrived on the scene before the fire department to see a house engulfed in flames.
Derrick realized there was a woman still inside the home as he heard her scream for help. Without protective gear or safety equipment, he raced into the home, and through the dense smoke he was able to locate the 69-year old woman and carry her to safety.
When asked if he would do it again he simply replied, "In a heartbeat."

25 years ago, Ross Lilley founded Access Sport America. The mission was to train youth with disabilities to participate in sports that they never thought possible. Over the past decade, Ellen Parker has transformed Project Bread into a nationally acclaimed anti-hunger organization.
Through Ellen's leadership, Project Bread's Walk For Hunger raised over $3.4 million dollars this year alone! Project Bread funds more than 400 food pantries and soup kitchens, to provide assistance to thousands of families in need throughout Massachusetts.
Ellen's crowning achievement is the creation of the Massachusetts Child Hunger Initiative. December 12, 2007 - Thomas Thibaut

On February 27, 2007, Watertown Fire Fighter Thomas Thibaut responded to a house fire. Without having the time to don his protective gear, Tee-Bo was hoisted through a first floor window to a room heavily charged with smoke.
As conditions worsened and smoke reduced visibility to almost zero, Tee-Bo was miraculously able to locate the unconscious man, move him to the window and pass him safely to police and firefighters outside.

Ray Tye read about twin boys who were born attached at the head, and were going to die because their family did not have the money for the life-saving surgery needed to separate them.
Ray knew he had to something, and that very same day, donated $100,000 to cover the cost of the 34 hour surgery to save the two boys he had never even met.
Thanks to Ray's unbelievable generosity, the twins are now healthy and active 6 year old kids! This is just one of the amazing medical gifts Ray has given with the over $4 million he has donated through the Ray Tye Medical Aid foundation.
